We believe in the power of art
Right now out of the chaos - to create a representation for things.
to express a mindset.
present in all creative means
the difficult days we are going through.
Art opens a gate for processing experiences and dealing with trauma and a community that creates together - has healing powers.
project 'Havaya' Created to give a protected space for creation.
An artists' village at the Alaya Hotel Folg Beach, which offers residences and workspaces for artists from the evacuated communities.
Creating the spirit of the times.
Making room for art
The days of the war and the evacuation of the settlements in the line of fire, brought many female and male creators to find themselves far from their homes, when they were cut off from their areas of creation and doing - physically and mentally. Havih invites displaced artists who are eligible for government funding to stay in hotels, to take part in a unique experience:
An artists' village on the beach of Polg. A quiet, enveloping and safe place
to live and create the spirit of the times in it.
The vision
Establishing a creative community in a complex that allows living and working spaces (studios), as a temporary solution for artists and their families in this challenging time. 'Havaya' It will be a fertile ground for joint and individual creation and will open up possibilities for a variety of actions and initiatives in the field of art - exhibitions, workshops, artist groups, open studio, creative meetings for the general public and more.
Who is it for?
We invite you - creators who were evacuated from their homes: painters, photographers, video and film people, dancers, musicians, designers, writers, plastic artists and more. Individuals, couples, groups and young families, who can operate in an alternative location for a period of up to 6 months.
'Havaya' You will be provided with suitable residences and work spaces, you will be part of a creative community, you will work on projects with exposure and resonance and above all - you will bring creation back to the center of being.
The funding will be done according to the arrangement with the state and in accordance with the needs of the creative work, recognizing that the art must exist - also and especially during such a period.
About the village
Alaya is a rustic and atmospheric accommodation complex, near the nature reserve Nahal Poleg and a 5-minute walk from Pulag beach. The village will provide 3 meals a day, coffee corners, cleaning and public areas, educational frameworks and welfare services.
Creation at the center of being
Beyond the personal creative processes, it will be possible to open and operate workshops, representatives and joint exhibitions, as well as a variety of activities for the general public such as art classes, writing workshops, dance and music classes and more.
'Emergency Creation'
At the end of the project period 'Havaya', we will proudly present your exhibition 'emergency creation', which summarizes the artistic and personal journey of the participating artists. The exhibition will be held at the end of a fascinating period of creation and collaboration, and will be an arena for the presentation of the spectacular works created.
Our goal is to create an artistic mosaic that reflects the diversity, depth and uniqueness of each artist in the project. We hope that the exhibition will present not only the individual works, but also the connections and mutual influences forged between the creators.
The exhibition will be a visual and emotional experience, allowing visitors to experience the power and beauty of art creation in times of emergency and change. This is a rare opportunity to see how art can be used as a tool for healing, coping and self-expression, and to experience the healing power of art.
